San Lorenzo is a quarter of a square kilometre of the old city. The Iglesia de San Lorenzo gives the barrio its name and its centre, Ollerías and Fuensantilla-Edisol lie north, Sagunto and Viñuela-Rescatado east, and the Mezquita is a walk south through the other barrios of the Centro. Plaza Cristo de Gracia has the fountain.

What are the main landmarks in San Lorenzo?
The barrio keeps five churches and a doorway. The Iglesia de San Lorenzo and the Basílica del Juramento de San Rafael are the two the city lists first, with María Auxiliadora at the Salesianos, the Ermita de San Juan de Letrán and the Padres Trinitarios after them. A portada is all that survives of Santa María de Gracia.

What is the history of San Lorenzo?
The church came before the barrio. San Lorenzo takes its name from the parish, the way most of Córdoba's inner barrios do, and the city files it in the western part of the Centro district between San Andrés-San Pablo and Sagunto. Gonzalo Antonio Serrano was born here.
