Ten square kilometres is not much city. Fuengirola fits everything inside that, so choosing a bed is less about reaching the sights and more about how many steps separate the room from the long sandy beach and the malécon that runs beside it. The seafront wins on convenience.
Rooms there put the beach, the malécon and the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen within one short walk, and the Museo de la Ciudad sits in the same compact grid of streets. Torreblanca del Sol is the other end. The Termas romanas de Torreblanca del Sol give that side of the municipality its own name and its own reason to stay, and Finca del Secretario, with its Centro de Interpretación, is the other archaeological address.
Castillo de Suel marks a third option. Beds near the castle trade beachfront frontage for the older half of the city's story, since Suel is the name both the fortress and the separate site on the register carry. Bioparc Fuengirola is the other fixed point, and in a city this size it is reachable from all three.
