Hipódromo is not hotel ground. Rooms in this corner of Nossa Senhora de Fátima are the everyday sort, so a bed in 馬場 buys distance from the sights of Macau rather than a short walk to them. Areia Preta shares the parish. Its towers carry the densest housing in the parish, the fallback when 馬場 itself has nothing free.

What is the history of Hipódromo?
Both names point at horses. Hipódromo is the Portuguese word for a racecourse and 馬場 the Chinese, a pairing left by the administration that governed Macau until the return to Chinese rule in 1999. 花地瑪堂區 does the same work, carrying Nossa Senhora de Fátima into Chinese characters. Macau came to China as a special administrative region, and the parish lines drawn under Portugal stayed where they were.
