You would take a room out here for the pine and for Lake Strzeszyńskie within a morning's walk, rather than for restaurants.

What are the main landmarks in Smochowice?
The Holy Name of Mary church stands at ulica Santocka 15 in Smochowice, on the corner of ulica Sianowska. Jerzy Liśniewicz designed it, and much of the money came from parishioners and from Resurrectionist priests in Poland, the United States, and Canada. Building ran from 1971 to 1982.
Its organ sits in four separate cases. A free-standing campanile carries an image of Our Lady of Częstochowa. Across the road, on a square of old trees, an obelisk to Bogdan Jański stood from 1982 until it was taken down in 2016 during work on the car park.
What is the history of Smochowice?
Smochowice takes its name from the descendants of Smoch, a short form of Smogorz. A 1253 document spells it Smochovici. The parish cemetery off ulica Braniewska opened in 1934, and the archaeologist Józef Kostrzewski, who died in 1969, is buried there.
Primary School No. 57 on ulica Leśnowolska carries his name. The German occupation administration attached the village to Poznań in 1940, and a Polish decree of 1950 took effect on the first day of 1951. Single-family houses spread over the fields from the 1960s.
Trolleybus 103 ran out here from Ogrody until 29 March 1970, when it closed as the last such line in Poznań.

Smochowice takes the eastern half of Osiedle Krzyżowniki-Smochowice, with Krzyżowniki west, Wola east, and railway line 351 on its north-eastern edge.
