What are the main landmarks in Osiedle Przyjaźni?
Park Władysława Czarneckiego takes in part of the estate, and concrete mooring blocks left by the Zeppelin hangar that stood beside Aleje Solidarności until 1945 lie in its ground. A monument to the architect Władysław Czarnecki stands near the Połabska tram loop. Osiedlowy Dom Kultury Słońce runs the local programme.
POSUM, the Poznański Ośrodek Specjalistycznych Usług Medycznych, occupies Aleje Solidarności 36 and took the national Modernizacja Roku award for health and social care in 2016. Szkoła Podstawowa nr 66 teaches here.
What is the history of Osiedle Przyjaźni?
Osiedle Przyjaźni went up between 1971 and 1978, raised by Kombinat Budowlany Poznań-Północ to a design by Marian Weigt, Piotr Krysztop and Adela Nowak. The ground had been Winogrady fields. Stare Miasto held the estate until 1990; a separate auxiliary unit followed in 2000, and a 2011 merger with Osiedle Pod Lipami produced Osiedle Nowe Winogrady Południe. Decommunisation renamed ulica Juliana Leńskiego for Anna German in 2018.
A plaque by Józef Kopczyński marked the naming of the estate bookshop for the Armia Poznań in 1985.
