Osiedle Lecha spreads eight postal codes, 61-280 and 61-293 to 61-299, across one estate, and it holds no hotel, so a stay here is a flat. Numbering runs from 2 to 129. The service centre faces Chartowo: a trading pavilion at number 121, a health centre at number 120, and the culture house Orle Gniazdo at number 43.
Trams call just beyond Chartowo, on a line that reached the estate in 1979 and now runs on into the Franowo tunnel. If you want quiet, ask for a flat over the inner greens rather than one on the Chartowo edge.

Kościół Chrystusa Najwyższego Kapłana stands at number 44, drawn by Grzegorz Augustyniak and Krzysztof Kornecki on a square plan whose main axis runs the diagonal, red brick under steep tiled roofs. Jerzy Schmidt set the sculpture avenue between a block and Szkoła Podstawowa nr 51.
Mały Dżokej, Misie and Podróż line one side and Zabawa w teatr faces them, all placed in 1979. Rodzina, by Helena Ertel-Jakubowska, followed in 1981. Kościół Pierwszych Polskich Męczenników is not here, but on Osiedle Tysiąclecia above the tram loop beyond Chartowo.
What is the history of Osiedle Lecha?
Osiedle Lecha broke ground on 13 March 1974 under the working letter D, ahead of Osiedle Czecha and Osiedle Rusa. Block 2-13 came first, twelve entrances of five storeys, finished in 1975. Panels arrived by rail.
Standard-gauge wagons ran in on a siding of the Średzka Kolej Powiatowa, and their load shifted to 600 mm trucks that reached each block, and those rails still cross Inflancka in the asphalt. The plan drew fifteen residential blocks and all fifteen were built. A parish cemetery and its chapel, in use from 1939, stood by Wiatraczna until 1973 and went for the Lecha underpass beneath Bolesława Krzywoustego.

Osiedle Lecha fills the ground between Inflancka, Piaśnicka, Chartowo and Wiatraczna, on the Upper Terrace of Rataje. The culverted Piaśnica runs beneath Chartowo.
