Osiedle Tysiąclecia has no hotel, so a bed here means a flat. Numbers 71 and 72 are high-rise blocks. A chestnut alley faces them.
Aleja Księdza Radziejewskiego crosses the estate, and the Pawilon Jubilat, holding Dom Kultury Jubilat and a row of shops, is its meeting point. Trams run along Piaśnicka on the south before dropping into the tunnel to Franowo. A belt of woodland closes the northern end towards abpa Baraniaka.
Take the Inflancka side if you want the ponds and the trees at the door, and a flat by 71 or 72 for the chestnut alley.

Osiedle Tysiąclecia keeps two landmarks, a postmodernist church and a protected pond ground. Kościół Pierwszych Polskich Męczenników stands on an escarpment above the park, a mass of concrete and clinker brick set against glass and metal. The altar sits in the middle.
Three amphitheatre balconies ring it, on a plan by Andrzej Maleszka with Tadeusz Mikuła and Marian Urbański. Traszki Ratajskie covers 5.2272 hectares between aleja Księdza Radziejewskiego and the tram line, and shelters the smooth newt and the common spadefoot. Kościół Świętego Marka Ewangelisty is not here, but on Osiedle Czecha, 800 metres south-south-east.
What is the history of Osiedle Tysiąclecia?
Osiedle Tysiąclecia rose on Chartowo ground that answered to the parish of Saint John of Jerusalem Outside the Walls at Komandoria. Work on the four Górny Taras Rataj estates began in 1974, and in 1976 church authorities asked for one at their centre. On 7 January 1980 the communist authorities allowed only a catechetical house.
Building started at once. Archbishop Jerzy Stroba erected the parish on 16 December 1980 under Mieczysław Radziejewski. The cornerstone went in on 13 November 1985, and Archbishop Stanisław Gądecki dedicated it in 2005. Osiedle Rusa got its parish in 1984, Osiedle Lecha in 1990, and Osiedle Czecha in 1992.
